DOT alerts drivers to road closures for Baltimore Pride Parade

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (DOT) is alerting drivers of road closures and parking restrictions going into effect for Saturday’s Pride Parade.

The parade will occur along Charles Street, and will begin at noon on June 13.

Participants will start staging along N. Charles St. between N. Ave. and E. 21st St., E. 20th St. between St. Paul St. and Maryland Ave. as well as on E. 21st St. between St. Paul St. and Maryland Ave.

Officials said the parade will proceed north on Charles St. and disband along N. Charles St. between E. 28th and E. 29th Streets.

Ahead of the parade, the following streets will be closed Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.:

  • Charles Street between North Avenue and 29th Street
  • 20th Street between Maryland Avenue and St. Paul Street
  • 21st Street between Maryland Avenue and St. Paul Street
  • 22nd Street between Maryland Avenue and St. Paul Street
  • 23rd Street between Maryland Avenue and St. Paul Street

Local parking restrictions will go into effect Saturday from midnight to 6 p.m.

During the parade, temporary traffic stops may be put in place for the safety of participants.

Drivers should seek alternate routes to avoid delays.

All attendees should “immediately disperse from Charles Street” after the parade ends and relocate to Druid Hill Park to participate in Pride festivities, according to officials.
