Fire officials share water safety tips after two separate drownings in Anne Arundel County

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department is sharing water safety tips following two separate drownings at private pools in Anne Arundel County over the weekend.

Both drownings involved young children, according to officials.

On Saturday, June 27, crews were called to a community in Brooklyn Park where they treated and transported a boy to a local hospital.

The next day, crews responded to the Pasadena area for a reported drowning. Officials said crews treated and took a boy to a local hospital.

Now, fire officials are highlighting the importance of water and pool safety after these recent drownings and the upcoming dangerous heat wave.
