HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — Howard County police arrested five men in connection to a multi-day online child solicitation sting last week.
The operation’s goal was to identify and arrest people seeking to sexually exploit children, authorities said.

Five men communicated with undercover officers through various apps. They all arranged to meet and participate in sex acts with fictional juveniles in Columbia.

Each suspect was arrested onsite and is charged with sexual solicitation of a minor, police said.

“The goal of proactive operations like this is to make clear that this type of activity will not be tolerated in Howard County,” a May 15 Facebook post by Howard County Police Department reads. “Predators seeking to harm children should be warned to stay out of this jurisdiction.”
