Man accused in Catonsville murder-suicide dies two days after self-inflicted wound

A man who allegedly shot a woman and then himself in Catonsville last week has died, the Baltimore County Police Department’s Homicide Unit announced Thursday.

22-year-old Sean Vanlandingham was pronounced dead on May 16.

On May 14, around 2:52 p.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in the unit block of Hillside Road.

Officers arrived on scene and found 21-year-old Kaylie Logston dead inside the residence from a gunshot wound, authorities reported.

While detectives were investigating, they were notified that Vanlandingham, who was in a relationship with Logston, was being treated at a local hospital for a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Two days later, Vanlandingham succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators said he allegedly shot himself in the 10000 block of Wincopin Circle.

At this time, detectives are investigating this incident as a murder and suicide.
