Ground stops issued at main airports across the DMV for stormy weather

WASHINGTON (7News) — Stormy weather in the DMV prompted ground stops across major airports in the area.

In the Washington, DC area, both Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport were put under a ground stop due to thunderstorms.

Weather Alert: Tornado & Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 pm for parts of the DMV

Baltimore-Washington International Airport also issued a ground stop for departures due to the thunderstorms.

The ground stops for the DMV-area airports are set to expire at 6:30.
