BALTIMORE (WBFF) — 16 people were taken to the hospital after a crash involving a stolen vehicle driven by juveniles and an MTA bus in east Baltimore on Thursday afternoon.
Police responded around 12:48 p.m. on Sept. 24 to a crash involving a vehicle and an MTA bus at the intersection of E. Oliver and N. Wolfe Streets, according to Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley,
Worley said that preliminary information indicated that police received an alert for a stolen vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
At that point, the vehicle fled from officers, and police called Foxtrot to assist.

Shortly after that, police saw the vehicle collide with the MTA bus at the intersection of E. Oliver and N. Wolfe streets.
Worley said that four juveniles were inside the stolen vehicle and suffered multiple injuries as a result of the crash.
Baltimore City Fire Department Chief James Wallace said that a total of 16 people, including the four juveniles, were taken to local hospitals.
The injuries sustained by the occupants of the bus are considered non-life-threatening, according to police.
Three trauma centers and one hospital received patients from the crash.

Detectives with the Traffic Investigation Unit (TIU), along with detectives from the Special Investigation Response Team (SIRT), are investigating this incident.
