Gunshot victim may have traveled from Barclay to Penn North, Baltimore Police say

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A man was shot in his hand Sunday evening in east Baltimore, police said.

On August 30 around 5:05 p.m., patrol officers were called to the 1500 block of West North Avenue, located in west Baltimore’s Penn North neighborhood, for a report of a male shot.

There, officers found an uncooperative man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his hand, according to authorities.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

Officers believe the victim may have been shot in the 1900 block of Greenmount Ave., located in east Baltimore’s Barclay neighborhood, and then traveled nearly two miles to the 1500 block of West North Ave., where police were notified.

Safe Streets currently operates in the Penn North neighborhood, according to the city’s website.

The victim’s age is currently unknown.
