Lightning strike causes $25,000 in damage to Fort Washington home

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — A lightning strike caused a house fire in Fort Washington, according to Prince George’s County fire investigators.

The fire happened in the 2400 block of Grange Hall Court.

Investigators determined lightning was the cause of the fire, which caused an estimated $25,000 in damage to the home.

The investigation is closed.
