Police search for suspect that assaulted clerk during armed robbery at 7-Eleven in Crofton

CROFTON, MD. (WBFF) — Anne Arundel County police are investigating after a 7-Eleven in Crofton was robbed overnight.

Police said that on July 1, at about 2:35 a.m., officers were dispatched for a commercial robbery at the 7-Eleven in the 200 block of Davidsonville Road.

Officers learned a male suspect entered the business armed with a handgun, assaulted the clerk, and stole an unknown amount of money before fleeing, police said.

Detectives assigned to the Regional Crimes Unit are investigating.

Police described the suspect as a male wearing a black mask.
