Man arrested after firing Glock 19 outside Glen Burnie home, police say

A man was arrested early Wednesday after police said he fired a handgun outside a Glen Burnie home and continued shooting into the air as officers arrived.

According to police, officers responded on May 27 at about 12:15 a.m. to a report of a male suspect firing a handgun outside a residence in the 100 block of S. Broadview Boulevard.

As officers got to the scene, the man resumed firing into the air. After several minutes of commands from officers, the suspect complied and was taken into custody, police said.

A loaded Glock 19 handgun that police said was fired by the suspect was seized.

Police said the suspect is prohibited from possessing firearms.

Keith Williamson Jr., 40, of Glen Burnie, was arrested and charged.
