BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — A man has been arrested for the murder of a man in Mt. Clare last month.
Dedrick Coates, 36, is facing first degree murder charges in the case.
On May 5 around 1:10 p.m., police responded to the 1600 block of Cole Street for a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found 31-year-old Musa Witherspoon suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.
He was found unresponsive inside an apartment in the 400 block of South Gilmor Street and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Witherspoon was pronounced dead at the hospital.
On June 11 around 12:50 p.m., members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested Coates at a home in the 200 block of S. Augusta Avenue.

He was taken into custody without incident and was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility to face charges.
