Man assaulted after attempted robbery in Liberty Square

Police are investigating after a man was assaulted after an attempted robbery in Liberty Square on Tuesday morning.

The Baltimore Police Department said that on July 7 around 3 a.m., a 64-year-old man was on the 2500 block of Liberty Heights Avenue when he was approached by several unknown male suspects.

Authorities said that the suspects were wearing dark clothes and dark masks.

Police said the suspects approached the victim and demanded his property, but the man refused to comply.

Then, the suspects proceeded to assault the victim and fled the area on foot without getting anything from the victim.

Police said that the victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the investigation is ongoing.
