Man killed, another expected to survive in south Baltimore double shooting

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A double shooting in south Baltimore on Saturday morning left one man dead and another man injured, according to the Baltimore Police Department (BPD).

On May 30, around 3:40 a.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2900 block of Spellman Road.

Once there, BPD found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the victims, identified as 21-year-old Tyriel Simms, was pronounced dead on the scene by medics.

The other victim, identified as a 21-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive his injures, BPD said.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
