MARYLAND (WBFF) — A Maryland man was arrested in connection with coercion and enticement involving a 12-year-old, as well as for traveling to Delaware to engage in illicit sexual conduct, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Court documents reveal that 22-year-old Majdi Jones allegedly communicated with the 12-year-old victim via Snapchat, exchanged nude photos, and arranged to meet for sexual activities.
Officials stated that Jones became aware that the victim was a minor but lied about his own age.
Jones then arranged to meet the victim at a park in Delaware early in the morning.

Jones drove from Maryland to Delaware, picked the victim up near her home, and then drove to the park where he engaged in sexual conduct that prosecutors allege constitutes rape in the fourth degree under Delaware law.
Investigators later discovered a used condom in the back seat of the car where the assault occurred.
Jones was arrested on August 11, 2026, and is facing one count of coercion and enticement of a minor, as well as one count of traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
If convicted, Jones could face a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison and a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
