MARYLAND (WBFF) — The sights, sounds, and tastes of the Maryland State Fair came to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center on Tuesday, giving pediatric patients a chance to experience a summer tradition without leaving the hospital.
State Fair organizers, along with several volunteer vendors, created a miniature fair inside the children’s hospital, featuring traditional fair foods, music, games, and entertainment.
For many children receiving medical treatment, the event offered a break from their routines and a chance to enjoy a familiar Maryland experience.
After playing games, the children earned tickets that they could exchange for prizes.
Patients also got the chance to learn about agriculture and planted seeds as part of the activities.
