Harris, who is not a student at the historically Black university, was accused of shooting five people, including one VSU student, outside of several dormitories on campus just days before the start of the semester.
Police were called to the 3300 block of Boisseau Street for a reported shooting, and found the five people ranging in age from 17 to 23, with gunshot wounds. One person was treated for critical injuries, while others were treated for non-life-threatening wounds.
Authorities said Harris was found hiding inside a dorm closet and faces eight felony charges.
Police on Monday obtained a misdemeanor arrest warrant for Johnson, who voluntarily returned to Virginia and turned herself in to detectives. She was booked on accessory after the fact and released on her own recognizance bond.
VSU is located in the town of Ettrick, which sits roughly 25 miles outside Richmond.
