BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Could Maryland see a white Christmas this year?
Well, according to the 2026 Old Farmers’ Almanac forecast, it depends on where you live in the Old Line State.
The predictions were released this week, showing that the Northeast, Intermountain, Alaska, and Northern Canada regions are likely to see snow on Christmas morning.
Although this doesn’t include Maryland, part of the state is in one of the several U.S. regions that could wake up to a white Christmas.
According to the Almanac’s snowfall forecast map, most of Western Maryland and a portion of Central Maryland fall into the “chance of a white Christmas” category.

Other regions in the U.S. with a snow chance include the Pacific Northwest, the High Plains, the Ohio Valley, the Lower Lakes and the Southern Appalachians.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says at least 1 inch of snow must be on the ground on Dec. 25 to be a white Christmas.
