Pedestrian killed after being struck while crossing road in Temple Hills

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross a roadway in Temple Hills Tuesday night, according to Prince George’s County police.

Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. on July 7 to the 4700 block of St. Barnabas Road for a reported collision involving a pedestrian.

Police said the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on St. Barnabas Road while attempting to cross the roadway. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and was not injured, police said.

The victim’s identity will be released once family members have been located and notified.
