BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — Baltimore County Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with a double homicide that occurred in Essex a week ago.
On August 10 around 11:25 a.m., officers were called to the unit block of Banyan Wood Court for a reported shooting, police said.
When officers arrived, they found Donielle Mack and Izick Aminartey, both 19-year-olds, suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.

Aminartey was pronounced dead at the scene while Mack was taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Surveillance video obtained by FOX45 News showed the victims’ car arriving at Banyan Wood Court just after 11 a.m. Monday. Linda, a concerned neighbor, described what happened next: “A car pulled in three minutes later, people running outside to see what was going on.”
Police said residents called 911 to report a vehicle crash. When officers arrived, they found Mock and Aminartey inside the vehicle.
About 25 minutes after the shooting on Banyan Wood Court, officers responded to the unit block of Bladen Road, also in the 21221 zip code, for a reported assault in progress. When officers arrived, they found a male inside a vehicle suffering from an gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
At this time, police have not indicated whether investigators believe the two shootings are connected.
On Monday, police announced a 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with the double homicide.
The suspect’s identity and his charges will be released once he appears before a court commissioner, authorities said.
