Police arrest 51-year-old man in Park Heights Avenue shooting, BPD says

A 51-year-old man was arrested in connection with a shooting that took place yesterday on Park Heights Avenue, the Baltimore Police Department announced Monday.

Antione Burton allegedly shot a 40-year-old man on Sunday night in north Baltimore, according to officials.

On June 7, around 7:25 p.m., officers were patrolling the area when they heard shots being fired in the 4400 block of Park Heights Avenue.

As officers searched the area, police said they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, identified as a 40-year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to authorities.

Shortly after the shooting, officers apprehended Burton in the 2400 block of Loyola Northway.

He was subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and multiple handgun violations.
