
BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Police are investigating an early-morning shooting incident involving an armed suspect and police officers in west Baltimore, officials confirmed Wednesday.
On March 18, around 1:52 a.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue, where they encountered a man firing a gun.
Police said the suspect attempted to flee upon seeing officers but then turned and fired at them.
At least one officer returned fire, police said.

The suspect was not struck during the exchange and fled the scene on foot.
As of now, the individual has not been identified or taken into custody.
The department’s Special Investigations Response Team is leading the investigation into the incident.
