PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Maryland-National Capital Park Police are investigating after a body was found Saturday in a wooded area of the Northwest Branch Stream Valley Park.

Police said they received a call around 11:54 a.m. reporting a potentially deceased person in the park, which is in the Langley Park-Adelphi area.
Officers responded to the park and found a deceased Hispanic man in a wooded area near Merrimac Drive at Riggs Road, according to police.
The man’s age and identity were not immediately known. Police also said the cause of death remains unknown.
Detectives responded to the scene, and an active investigation is underway.
