Police investigate shooting after 17-year-old found wounded in McElderry Park

A 17-year-old was shot in the McElderry Park neighborhood on Thursday afternoon, according to Baltimore police.

On June 11, around 3:59 p.m., officers responded to the reported shooting at the 2400 block of Jefferson Street in southeast Baltimore.

Once there, officers found the 17-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said detectives learned the crime occurred in the 400 block of N. Milton Street.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where police said he is expected to survive the injury.
