BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Fans poured onto Ravens Walk as early as 5 a.m. Monday, and by noon thousands had filled Hamburg Street and the gates outside M&T Bank Stadium, turning the area into an all-day BTS celebration eight years in the making.
BTS, the South Korean boy band that has become one of the world’s most popular musical acts, is making its first stop in Baltimore, with shows at M&T Bank Stadium on Monday and Tuesday night. The concerts mark the group’s first visit to Maryland after COVID-19 canceled a planned show in Landover in 2020 and the band took a hiatus while multiple members completed compulsory military service in their homeland. This year’s Arirang World Tour is the first chance for fans to see the full group on tour since 2019.
The scene outside the stadium was electric, as fans from across the country and beyond made the trip to Baltimore to see the seven-member group.
“They’re the first group that got me into [Korean pop], so it’s a little full circle for me,” said Norfolk native Hannah McEachy. “I love the message behind the music, how they preach self-worth and self-growth. It reminds me of myself sometimes.”
