MARYLAND (WBFF) — Marylanders looking to try their hand at fishing have a chance to test the waters in coming weeks.
The state is offering three days — June 6, June 13 and July 4 — to fish without the usually required fishing license or trout stamp.
Maryland’s fishing season is also off to a promising start as warming waters help to create favorable conditions, according to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources’ June 3 fishing report.
“In this wonderful time of year for fishing, it is great to have a mentor who can guide you, and this is the perfect opportunity,” the report reads.
