Police investigate after 15-year-old boy shot near school in southeast Baltimore

Police are investigating after a 15-year-old boy was shot near a school in southeast Baltimore Saturday evening.

On June 6 around 4:46 p.m., officers were called to the 700 block of North Collington Ave., located in the Middle East neighborhood, for a report of a shooting victim, authorities said.

When officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

The preliminary investigation revealed the shooting happened in the 600 block of N. Patterson Park Avenue, which is a few blocks away from where police found the victim and is located near Tench Tilghman Elementary/Middle School.
