MARYLAND (WBFF) — The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) announced several lane closures and traffic pattern changes for the Bay Bridge (US 50/301) scheduled for March 8 through 14, 2026.
The MDTA notes that all work scheduled to be performed is weather permitting, and lane closures, as well as closure times, are subject to change depending on traffic volumes and other work variables.
On Sunday, March 8, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Saturday, March 14, from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., the westbound span will be closed for maintenance work. During this closure, two-way traffic will operate on the eastbound span.
Throughout the week, the eastbound span will be closed for maintenance, and two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span. The closure will take place during the following dates and times:
For Monday, March 9th, and Tuesday, March 10th, one of the lanes on the eastbound span is scheduled to be closed for maintenance work from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span.
For Wednesday, March 11, and Thursday, March 12, one lane on the westbound span will be closed for maintenance work from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and again on Friday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
