BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — Crews in Baltimore County responded to an unique call over the weekend — a man stuck in a tree.
Early Sunday afternoon, crews with the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company were called to a home just over a mile from its Owings Mills station, officials said.
The dispatch read: “Someone is stuck in a tree and the tree is on top of them.”

When crews arrived, they found a man who had been cutting down a tree. A massive tree branch had shifted, pinning him against the tree trunk 25 feet in the air.
Several neighboring fire departments and paramedics assisted on scene.
In less than an hour of arriving on scene, crews stabilized the shifting branches before freeing the man with rescue equipment.
The victim was airlifted with serious leg injuries by Maryland State Police’s Aviation Command to the University of Maryland Medical Center’s Shock Trauma Center, according to fire officials.
