Two 16-year-olds charged, one as adult, in armed carjacking in North Baltimore

Two 16-year-old juveniles were arrested and charged after an armed carjacking of a ride-share driver in North Baltimore on Tuesday, police said.

According to BPD, officers were called at about 1:41 p.m. July 7 to the intersection of Pall Mall Road and Shirley Avenue for a report of an armed carjacking.

When they arrived, officers found the victim, a 44-year-old ride-share driver, who reported he had been carjacked, and the suspects took his 2024 Toyota SUV. Police broadcasted a description of the suspects and the vehicle.

At about 6:35 p.m., District Action Team officers, along with Regional Auto Theft detectives and Baltimore County Aviation units, located the SUV traveling in the 2300 block of Bryant Avenue.

Police arrested one teen suspect in the 2300 block of Bryant Avenue and the second teen suspect in the 2300 block of Ruskin Avenue.

Officers transported one 16-year-old suspect to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged as an adult with auto theft.
