The Scott Jennings Show

8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Would ‘Bachelor’ Clayton Echard try his chances on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ or ‘Traitors?’

This is part four of a six-part series. To find the other parts, check out @WeArePauseRewind on Instagram.

Clayton Echard didn’t exactly love his experience on “The Bachelor,” but he’s not opposed to having some fun on other reality shows.

Echard has shown an affinity for dancing and shared it on his social media, making him an excellent candidate for “Dancing with the Stars,” which has featured its share of “Bachelor” alums.

“I obviously love to dance. So, If you’re gonna pay me to dance, even better,” he told PauseRewind’s Elizabeth Stanton. “I mean full transparency, it’s like, yeah, I’ll go on a show that pays me a bunch of money to dance. Like that’s sounds incredible. I already dance anyways, so that one would be cool. And I would give it my all.”

He continued, “I’m a competitor, so I would go all out, you know, I’d be in there training nonstop to try to win the whole thing, just because that’s in my DNA.”

Echard would also be open to competing on “The Traitors,” something he sees as a fun challenge due to his honest-to-a-fault-nature (see his comment on being paid to dance above).

“I’d like to be a traitor because I’d like to be given permission to try to lie and manipulate, because I won’t do that in my real life,” he said. “I’ve become more, like, emotionally intelligent over the years by, like, just like, doing my own research and self-reflecting, and you start to realize that you can get very manipulative.”

“But in a setting like the show, where they say, this is what you’re supposed to do. It’s kind of a test to see how good could I be?’” he continued. “Because I kind of feel like, if you win that show, you[‘ve] got to be pretty highly intelligent to be able to play people and have them not pick up on it. So I think it would just be a test of intelligence. And that’s kind of why I would want to do it, because it’s like, I love the psychological warfare, I think it’s super interesting.”

Whether he ends up in the castle or the ballroom, Echard is sure to tell it like it is.
