New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, like all members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), is a big proponent of “international law,” a nefarious concept that undermines American sovereignty and freedom. By appealing to foreign bodies like the International Criminal Court and “international law” as the basis for how America should conduct its foreign and domestic policy, they’re trying to destroy our Constitution and our government.

That’s their goal, of course.
Socialist Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic Socialist nominee for Michigan’s Senate seat, is another proponent of “international law,” and he proves exactly what it’s really about: giving the global Left its way on issues. El-Sayed was asked about supporting military aid to Ukraine but not Israel, and said the difference was “international law.”
.@Foodaism asks El-Sayed:
“You said you supported sending military aid to Ukraine when it faced invasion. Why not Israel in a similar scenario?” https://t.co/WA8ZtkkZdP

Because of course.
El-Sayed was asked this question by the Detroit Free Press. Here’s his answer: https://t.co/KVP9tPx9Im pic.twitter.com/WeTDnA1ox4

Here’s the exchange (emphasis added):
NK: What’s the lens that you would use to make decisions about where we should spend our military aid and support, where we shouldn’t, what should guide us in getting into conflicts?
AES: International law. I believe we ought to be the first among equals to enforce international law. We worked really hard after the worst war in human history to build all these institutions, to build all these frameworks; then we became the chief violator of all the frameworks. So, when it comes to Ukraine, I think we are involved in a righteous struggle to protect a sovereign nation from being invaded by their neighbor. That’s completely consistent with international law.
When it comes to Israel, we are aiding and abetting a human rights violator who, at a minimum, at baseline, is engaged in apartheid, and has been for decades, and conducted a genocide, and now has pulled us into a war we have no business fighting.

Translation: El-Sayed hates the Jews and Israel.
Somehow “International Law” only restrains Western liberal Democracies. Autocratic regimes and religious fanatics get a free pass

Funny how that works.
If he believes in international law then he can’t claim Israel is committing genocide. Because even Karim Khan who sought and received the arrest warrant for Netanyahu explicitly said he did not have the evidence to charge him with genocide.

Whoops.
It’s odd that he omitted Hamas and Hezbollah launching thousands of missiles at Israel or idk the fact that Hamas committed countless atrocities on October 7th that were in clear violation of law, invading and massacring citizens of a different country

El-Sayed, like all Islamist socialists, will say Israel was asking for it because of the non-existent “apartheid” going on there.
The idea that America is the “chief violator” of international law is insidious foreign propaganda, originating out of the Soviet Union. Our enemies still push it today. And naturally, it’s bulls**t.
This man is an anti-American radical. He belongs nowhere near the Senate. https://t.co/jQhdB782c8

For someone who wants to protect Ukraine from Russia, he’s fine with Russian propaganda.
I don’t think El-Sayed understands that any country following international law would find itself completely unable to win any modern war. https://t.co/tiTjwt83LJ

Oh, he understands. That’s why he wants “international law” to apply to Israel and the U.S. and not Iran or other Islamic nations.
Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
