JD Vance Just Nailed the Reason Why Abdul Al-Sayed Won

Vice President JD Vance perfectly explained why Democratic Socialist Abdul El-Sayed defeated his moderate opponent in Tuesday’s Senate primary election.

During an interview on Fox News, Vance noted that “the base of the Democratic Party just wants radicals. It wants these DSA types. It wants people who hate even the idea of private property ownership.”

He added, “But it also, I think, tells us that that particular set of ideas is very popular in places you wouldn’t expect.”

Because Al-Sayed, he’s this guy who holds himself out as a working-class hero, as a guy who’s gonna fight for the working class. How does he fight for the working class? By flooding his state and his country with low-wage immigrants. Of course, those people will drive down the wages of the working class. And he also doesn’t want to do anything to protect the Michigan auto industry.

Vance then referred to the numbers, noting that El-Sayed did the best among affluent white women despite portraying himself as a champion for the working class. 

“He did the best among wealthy white liberals and among new immigrants to the United States of America,” Vance said. “He basically represents the modern Democratic coalition, which is self-hating white liberals united to people who just came to the country for the first time and don’t actually have the sense of appreciation for it that they should. Those are the people who are voting for Al-Sayed.”

El-Sayed narrowly defeated Rep. Haley Stevens in Michigan’s Democratic U.S. Senate primary on Tuesday. He received 48.5 percent of the vote to Stevens’ 47.5 percent with 99 percent of votes counted.

The race was seen as a major victory for the far left faction of the Democratic party. He garnered support from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), along with Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. He will face former Rep. Mike Rogers to replace outgoing Sen. Gary Peters.
