
BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A Baltimore police officer was struck by a car while attempting to arrest a wanted suspect in northwest Baltimore on Wednesday night, according to officials.
On April 15, around 8:19 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person wanted on a warrant in the 5700 block of Reisterstown Road.
As officers approached the suspect, police said a brief foot chase ensued.

During this pursuit and while arresting the suspect, a male officer was hit by a civilian vehicle that was not involved in the incident.
The vehicle remained at the scene, and the officer was transported to a nearby hospital. The extent of the officer’s injuries is currently unknown.
The suspect who was arrested was reported to be a 42-year-old man wanted for an armed robbery, but no further details on the arrest warrant have been released at this time.
