BALTIMORE — A second-floor fight between six students this week at Woodlawn High left so much pepper spray in the air that the school was forced to evacuate, Baltimore County police said.
Court records show at least one teenager was criminally charged as an adult on weapon and assault counts. That 18-year-old student had a knife taken from her by staff members, according to police, although it didn’t appear to be used during the fight.
It was not immediately clear whether any other students were charged in connection with the fight. State law enforcement cannot identify young people in the court system by name, and the Baltimore County Police Department did not immediately respond to a Friday morning inquiry.
A Baltimore County Police spokesperson said the five other students in the fight will also be charged with misdemeanor assault. State law enforcement cannot identify young people in the court system by name.
