Three-year-old girl fatally struck by teen driving stolen car: Baltimore Police

A three-year-old was fatally struck by a teen driving a stolen car Saturday afternoon in southwest Baltimore, according to police.

Just after 1 p.m. on June 20, officers were called to a reported crash involving a pedestrian in the 1800 block of W. Pratt Street, which is located in the Carrollton Ridge neighborhood.

There, officers found a three-year-old girl suffering from severe, life-threatening injuries, officials said.

She was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

The striking vehicle left the scene of the crime, and a description of the vehicle was broadcasted to officers, police said.

A short time later, officers found the vehicle and detained the driver — a 14-year-old boy.

Officers learned the vehicle was reported stolen by a family member just before the crash.
