MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A semi hauling concrete piles broke down on the Inner Loop of Interstate 495 in Montgomery County during Tuesday morning’s rush hour after part of its load shifted.
According to Maryland State Police, troopers responded around 6:40 a.m. to I-495 just before Bradley Boulevard for a report of a broken-down semi.

A preliminary investigation found the truck was slowing for traffic when one of the straps securing the load came loose. That caused the concrete piles to shift and damage the truck’s cab.
Police said the concrete piles stayed on the trailer and did not fall onto the highway. No injuries were reported.
Two lanes remain closed while crews work to clear the truck. Drivers should expect delays in the area and consider alternate routes if possible.
