Baltimore (WBFF) — A Baltimore man has been arrested in connection with a shooting from last month in the city’s southwest district, the Baltimore Police Department announced Friday.
54-year-old Leonard Owens was taken into custody for allegedly shooting a 36-year-old man in June.
On June 20, around 5:19 p.m., officers were called to the 300 block of N. Gilmor Street, located in southwest Baltimore, for a ShotSpotter alert.
When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg, according to officials.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers quickly took a person of interest into custody for questioning, police said.
In July, BPD arrested and charged Owens’ with attempted first-degree murder.
