Police shut down part of a busy thoroughfare in East Baltimore to investigate a collision that left at pedestrian with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
Officers shut down the 2100 block of East North Avenue following the collision, which happened around 4 p.m.

Multiple vehicles were damaged. One of them was overturned by the impact of the crash.
Police said an ambulance took the pedestrian—a woman—to a local hospital.
The Baltimore Police Department’s Crash Team is investigating the incident.
