SUN: Maryland State Fair is back. Here’s what’s new in 2026.

The Maryland State Fair returns to Timonium Thursday for its 145th edition, bringing back the mainstay rides, livestock shows, horse racing and food. The late-summer staple also added new attractions, concerts and activities,

The fair will run over three weekends, continuing through Sept. 13, with a break during the week between the first and second weekends. The 2026 fair will also feature patriotic-themed exhibits and competitions as the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary.

Here’s what fairgoers can expect:

New this year

The fair is adding several attractions, including a dinosaur exhibit and a mini-golf course in the Exhibition Hall, where visitors can see fossils and artifacts.
