PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A 67-year-old man has been charged in connection with a deadly stabbing in Hyattsville more than three years ago, Prince George’s County police announced Tuesday.
Kevin Warbington is accused of killing 33-year-old Avrell Milam on Aug. 30, 2023. Around 2:55 a.m. on that day, officers were called to the 2900 block of Belcrest Center Drive for a report of an unresponsive person and found Milam outside with trauma to his body. He died at the scene.

Homicide detectives took over the investigation and later identified Warbington as the suspect through “various investigative techniques,” police said.
A warrant was obtained earlier this month and Warbington was arrested in Washington, D.C.

Warbington remains in D.C. pending extradition to Prince George’s County. He is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges.

Police said there is no known connection between Warbington and Milam, and the motive is still being investigated.
