BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — Maryland State Police are investigating a vehicle crash in Rosedale that left one dead early Friday morning, according to authorities.
On August 14 around 3 a.m., officers responded to a report of a collision involving a tractor-trailer on northbound I-95.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the tractor-trailer had a flat tire and was attempting to pull onto the right shoulder when a Subaru collided with the back of the trailer, officials said.
The driver of the Subaru, Gregory Lloyd, 41, of Nottingham, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The passenger of the Subaru, Francesca Lloyd, 34, also of Nottingham, was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead, officials reported.
Authorities said they believe the two were married.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, and no additional injuries were reported.
Investigators suspect that impairment may have played a role in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
