MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Three teenagers are facing charges after police said they targeted other teens in a series of robberies in Germantown, Maryland, last month.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD), the teens were arrested following investigations into two separate incidents in early March.
The first robbery occurred on March 4 near Great Seneca Highway and Richter Farm Road, where a teenage boy was followed by a group of people, threatened with a knife, and robbed of his things.
Another robbery was reported the following day near Great Seneca Highway and Mateny Road, where a teen was approached at a nearby park, grabbed, and threatened before handing over property.

MCPD officials said the alleged robbers, all from Germantown, include a boy and a girl, both 16, and another boy who is 14.
The 16-year-olds are facing charges as adults with armed robbery, conspiracy, and theft. The 14-year-old is facing juvenile charges with similar offenses.
Police said the boys are also looking at charges in connection with the March 5 robbery, which involved force but no weapon. The 16-year-old boy was already in custody on an unrelated charge when the new warrant was served and remains detained.
The teenage girl was arrested on April 7 on an active warrant and is being held at the Central Processing Unit.
According to police, she is also facing another charge of armed robbery in a separate incident on March 11 at a business in Gaithersburg.
