BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A community pool just outside Baltimore’s Oldtown neighborhood was closed on Wednesday due to vandalism.
On August 12, the Ambrose Kennedy Pool closed after staff reportedly found poop and graffiti at the facility.
In a letter written to community members, authorities said “fecal matter was found in the pool, which requires staff to run the filtration system throughout the day to properly treat and sanitize the water.”

Graffiti was also reported at the facility, according to the letter.
The pool is expected to reopen August 13 for normal operating hours.
