BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A federal judge sentenced a Baltimore County man to prison on Tuesday for drug and gun charges related to a federal drug investigation, said the Maryland U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Jacque “Hammer” Brown, 50, of Randallstown, was sentenced to 135 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release for possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances, and the possession of a gun when Brown was prohibited, after officers recovered 500 grams of fentanyl and two firearms from his home.
According to court documents, in March 2025, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) began investigating Brown after learning he was dealing fentanyl in the Baltimore region.
Brown’s vehicles and Randallstown residence were identified, and the court allowed law enforcement to conduct surveillance over his vehicles and cell phone.
In April 2025, investigators observed a meeting between Brown and his drug supplier and later with several suspected customers before police stopped his vehicle.
During the traffic stop, an officer detected the presence of narcotics, Brown attempted to run away from the officer, and Brown was later arrested.
When running, Brown threw a clear plastic bag that contained 15 grams of fentanyl on the ground, that investigators later recovered.
Following the arrest, investigators executed a search warrant on Brown’s residence, recovering 500 grams of fentanyl and two guns, including a loaded 9mm Ruger and a Mossberg Maverick 12-gauge shotgun.
Brown is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing guns and ammunition.
Investigators also searched Brown’s phone and found messages with his fentanyl supplier.
Now, Brown will serve over 11 years in prison.
