
BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport was recognized as one of the top-performing U.S. airports in the 2026 AirHelp Score, according to BWI officials.
BWI secured the tenth-highest score among U.S. airports in the annual survey. The scoring reflects the airport’s continued commitment to customer service while serving as a major transportation asset and economic development engine.
“I am extremely proud of this achievement, which showcases the hard work of the entire airport community to deliver outstanding air travel for our passengers,” said Shannetta Griffin, Executive Director/CEO of BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport. “The ranking will drive us to further innovate and elevate the passenger experience.”
BWI Marshall Airport served more than 25 million passengers in 2025 and offers approximately 300 daily nonstop departures to about 90 domestic and international destinations, according to BWI officials.
The airport generates a total economic impact of $11.3 billion, supporting more than 107,000 jobs across Maryland and the region.
