SILVER SPRING, Md. (7News) — A lucky lottery player in Silver Spring scored a life-changing $500,000 top prize this week, marking the Maryland Lottery’s biggest win for the week of June 15–21.

The half-million-dollar “Gifts of Green” scratch-off ticket was sold at the Giant grocery store located at 11221 New Hampshire Avenue.

While the Silver Spring scratch-off took the top spot, a wave of big wins hit the state, totaling more than $32 million across all games:

• $305,776 Racetrax win: A massive virtual horse racing payout went to a player in Severn.
• $50,000 prizes: Hit via Racetrax tickets in Baltimore, Catonsville, and Silver Spring, alongside a Winning Streak scratch-off sold in Frederick.

Because the Silver Spring win exceeds $25,000, the ticket must be redeemed by appointment at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore.

Winners have 182 days from the drawing or purchase date to claim their prizes.
