HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — A two-vehicle crash involving a box truck sent two people to the hospital Monday evening and shut down the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 in Howard County.
Shortly before 4 p.m. on August 31, troopers from the Maryland State Police Waterloo Barrack were called to I-70 at Morgan Station Road for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
There, officials said two people inside of a box truck were taken to local trauma center for treatment of their injuries. One person was taken by ambulance while the other one was flown by MSP Aviation Command.

There were no other reported injuries.
At this time, the occupants’ ages and genders are unknown as well as the extent of their injuries.
All eastbound and westbound lanes remain closed.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
