The Baltimore City Fire Department was dispatched to a manhole fire in the Charles Village neighborhood on Thursday afternoon, said officials.
On July 2 at around 4:00 p.m., the crews responded to St. Paul Street and E. 28th Street for reports of an outside fire.
Upon arrival, units observed light smoke and quickly identified a manhole fire.
Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE), Baltimore City Office of Emergency Management (OEM), and Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) were requested to the scene for assistance.
There are no injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
