Fugitive identified in Baltimore double shooting turned homicide

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore Police have identified a man who they say shot two people, killing one of them in north Baltimore back in June.

Dashawn Taylor, 24, is wanted in connection to the murder, according to the Department.

Baltimore Police warned Taylor should be considered armed and dangerous.

At approximately 10:50 p.m. on June 23 officers responded to a convenience store at 5211 York Road.

According to dispatch audio, one victim was found shot in the driver’s seat of a car and a second gunshot victim was located on the ground.

The victim found shot in the car was later pronounced deceased at an area hospital.

Baltimore Police later identified the victim as 38-year-old Asia Williams.

The second victim is a 27-year-old man who survived his injuries.

Days after the fatal shooting, Baltimore Police released surveillance footage from inside the store that captured the armed suspect.

Now, the Department has identified the man as Dashawn Taylor.

Taylor has not yet been arrested.

Baltimore Police have not yet said exactly where the shooting took place, what led up to the shooting, and whether they believe either victim was the intended target.

An $8,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to an arrest.
