A 17-year-old is facing attempted murder charges after a November shooting in Montgomery County that sent bullets flying into several homes, including a child’s bedroom.

Early Thanksgiving morning on November 27, 2025, Montgomery County Police responded to reports of gunfire on the 20500 block of Staffordshire Drive.

Upon arrival, officers found multiple spent shell casings scattered at the scene. Four residences were struck by bullets and one bullet had entered a bedroom where a child was sleeping, police said.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported despite the heavy gunfire.

The suspect, Jaden Proctor of Germantown, was initially taken into custody on December 17, 2025, for unrelated outstanding warrants. During that arrest, police recovered a firearm from Proctor, leading to immediate weapons charges.

Following a months-long investigation, an arrest warrant was officially served on April 16, 2026, linking Proctor to the November shooting, police said.

Proctor has been charged as an adult with several violent felonies, including:

  • Attempted First-Degree Murder
  • Conspiracy to Commit Attempted First-Degree Murder
  • Attempted Second-Degree Murder
  • Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime of Violence

Proctor is currently being held without bond.
